Someday You'll Find Her, Charlie Brown ReviewSomeday You’ll Find Her, Charlie Brown

Someday You’ll Find Her, Charlie Brown is a 1981 animated television special and the 22nd entry in the Peanuts series.

This entry is obviously pretty solid, but frankly very problematic nonetheless, at least it was for me. The main issue here is Charlie Brown himself who is so atypical here than what is his usual characterization. I just found him to be too lovestruck and way too angry and frankly unlikable. The way he talked to Linus, though understandable, was still annoying and unlike his usual self.

But Linus is great and I really liked him here, especially near the end. And the storyline is definitely good and well realized as we follow the boys from house to house as they try to find the girl Charlie Brown saw on TV and fell in love with. It is a typical Peanuts plot, but the one that is still satisfying and I liked how it ended quite a bit.

Overall, Someday You’ll Find Her, Charlie Brown finds the titular character at his most unlikable, but at least Linus is great and the overall plot and it execution are quite good.

My Rating – 3.5
