Boom Boom is a 1936 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a frenetic short.
As its title so accurately suggests, this is such a ridiculously fast paced and action oriented cartoon. There are bombs everywhere and the war scenes overtake most of its running time. The animation is nothing remarkable, but the sound effects are solid.
There are some fine moments between Porky Pig and Beans but the film doesn’t utilize on its characters all that well and it really took a while for them to use Porky to the fullest and best extent as evidenced by these cartoons. It truly is overly loud and fast and that I never really liked.
Boom Boom has its moments, but it mostly is filled with too much action and not enough substance.
